In a constantly changing landscape, life is full of moments that shouldn't be forgotten. This is my way of piecing together a puzzle of memories.
On January 1st 2011 I pressed the shutter for the first time on my 1000 photos project. I plan on taking a similar image each day for 1000 days. The place, scene or people behind me give me something firm to remember that day by, and as each 24 hour span drifts by I'll have one photograph to bind that day's memories together.
At the end of the project I'll turn the 1000 pictures into a 30 second video, following a sequence of growing hair and beard, developing relationships, adventures on land, ocean and river coming and going and most importantly, a daily account of just how much we can achieve in just under three years.
Towards the end of the video below is a series of 1000 Photo images taken during my 2011 Mississippi River Expedition.
