When Kris Hallenga was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009 it changed her life. In the year previously Kris had been to the doctor's twice, leaving each time having been told her lumps were nothing to worry about.
So when she was finally diagnosed her cancer had progressed to stage 4. There is no stage 5. Kris was 23.
Since then, she, her twin sisten Maren and a tribe of supporters have worked tirelessly in the face of personal and social adversity to get young women (and men) to check their boobs, ensuring they recognise any life-threatening symptoms early enough to get proper treatment.
I'm proud to know Kris as a friend and have chosen CoppaFeel! as the main charitable beneficiary for my personal goal to raise £1 million for good causes.
If you enjoy following my journeys, or simply want to enable CoppaFeel! to continuing spreading information that saves lives, please click the logo below to donate safely and securely online and check out the CoppaFeel! website to get involved with one of their super cool fundraising events.
If you'd like to donate some money but want me to work for your pennies, I'd be happy to do so!
Why not dare me to do something during an expedition in return for a donation?
