Source to Mouth of the Wolf River, Mississippi
April 7th - April 14th 2012
Distance: 105 miles
In April 2012 Dave joined a team of paddlers from Memphis Tennessee and his friend Rod Wellington for a historical descent of the Wolf River from its source near Baker’s Pond in northern Mississippi to its confluence with the mighty Mississippi River near downtown Memphis.
Supporting Memphis-based Operation Broken Silence, a collection of abolitionists who are speaking and acting against the growing threats of mass atrocities and modern slavery in our world today, SUPAS (Standing Up Against Slavery) was a successful paddle with a purpose.
Visit the official SUPAS webpages at www.operationbrokensilence.org to find out more information about the expedition.
