I’ve always preferred a little project over new year’s resolutions to ensure forward motion. Having just moved into a new home with plans for a brand new business, I thought I’d see if I could create something new every single day in 2021.
As my friend Andy said, “well, you could create a big mess and still have a successful day” the caveat of ‘must be useful’ was added.
Day 1: 1 Jan - A new shelf for my office (approx 1 hour)
Day 2: 2 Jan - Registered a new company, the Big Sky Hideaway Ltd (approx 30 minutes)
To Do List
Cork Roll Pinboard
Trailer Park Model pieces 30 mins
Alpaca Fencing for model 2 hours
Make office space 1 hour
New Bank Account
Garage access for buggy - Sometimes to make you have to takeaway
Squirrel See Saw
Sink soakaway
Daily make, sometimes you gotta make a to do list full of things that need making. I’m learning as I go and some of these tasks took some good research, so if you’d like to do something similar to any of my makes do ask if I can make your job easier
Daily make - if a creation takes more than one day then I share it the day it’s finished
New office, new shelf
Six pieces of wood, a few nails, about one hour and a lovely little corner shelf is born
Create a company
On the second day of the new year I formed a new company, the Big Sky Hideaway Ltd
