Nestled into the side of a valley in central Bali, Villa Perepan is a jungle paradise that won’t break the bank
A sprawling Umbrian countryside property, turned into the ultimate escape. Monestevole is a retreat, refuge and working farm and was the perfect venue for a weekend of mindfulness, hosted by SayYesMore. Over 20 YesTribers flew into Perugia and drove to Monestevole, where we enjoyed discussions, games, food and wine over a long weekend.
I arrived a couple of days before the group to capture Monestevole at its quietest. Feeding time for the animals, golden hour slowly revealing the house each morning (perfect for the drone) and then, when everyone had arrived, a weekend of smiles and chats.
In the Summer of 2016 the Uganda Marathon invited me to capture their groundbreaking annual event, set in the rolling hills of Masaka.
Over 150 people flew in not just to run the marathon, but to volunteer for four days at the community projects funded by the event. Having spent over a year in Uganda in my early twenties, it was wonderful to be back in the Pearl of Africa, surrounded by the joy and kindness of local Ugandans.
The resulting film and photos are among my favourite collections.
I wrote a few weeks ago about photographer Richard Nixon's marvellous Glass Passport Project, where he exchanges his photography for life's basic necessities of food, accommodation and travel.
After he did such a good job at Yestival, I invite Richard to join me for a day on my houseboat, Enigma, to capture my preparation for a journey around Japan, by kick scooter.
"Adventure makes us rich, and I don't have any money!"
Little did I know that two years later San Miguel would be choosing me as one of their final 19 (out of thousands, I'm told) people who are truly living a rich life. Cool, hey?!

Richard Nixon (no, not that one) had a cool idea and he made it work.
He quit his job and now he's sharing his skill - photography - in exchange for life's basic necessities; travel, food and accommodation for the duration of the trade. He hopes to travel to every continent as part of his Glass Passport Project.
I asked Richard to come along and take photos at Yestival in October, and he was so awesome I asked him to come and spend a day with me before I went off on a journey in Japan.
Here are some of the pics he got that day.
If you need a photographer, for your business, event or some other lovely reason, give Richard a call, he'll do you proud!
